Some reasons to visit Jamaica

Visit our tropical beaches

Jamaica is described as the land of wood and water. You won’t be short of fun in the sun in Jamaica. Imagine a day in Negril where we have seven miles of white sand beach and when the sun goes down the fun begins. You may choose to dine at any of our excellent restaurants on the Westend while enjoying the famous Negril sunset. Bring your cameras, you won’t want to forget the beauty, peace and fun that Negril has to offer.

While Negril is beautiful, it’s just one end of the amazing island on the south coast, there are the incredible YSfalls that will absolutely thrill you. After YSFalls, he may believe he has seen paradise, but his journey, which has just begun, sees him travel to Montego Bay, to the beach at Doctors Cave, located along the fashion strip. Doctors Cave Beach is rumored to have medicinal properties, so take a dip and find out for yourself. His stay in Jamaica would not be complete unless he has visited Dunns River Falls. Jamaica’s famous Dunns Rivers Falls are an absolute thrill, it’s one of those things you have to experience in your lifetime.

reggae

Music is the language of the soul and reggae is the beating of the heart. Your bones will shake with this incredible sound without much effort on your part. While reggae is diverse, there’s something for everyone, much like contemporary dancehall artist Busy Signal said she can deliver “any style she wants.” Reggae music will move you as you want. Some people go for a while to the sound of Reggae dancehall while others prefer to be on the beach and move to the sound of Bob Marley while enjoying the famous Jamaican bear. To get a good feel for music, you can take advantage of our music festivals like Reggae Sunfest or our shows like Rebel Salute.

To make sure you can enjoy the shows and not get stuck in traffic trying to travel to the show, it’s best to stay somewhere close to the show and travel a day or two before the show. To find great vacation homes on the island, go to mobaymsb.com, where there are several listings. Reggae is the best thing that can happen to your ears.

Food

Treat your taste buds to some native Jamaican food. My personal favorite is the roasted breadfruit and ackee. The island hosts several food festivals, my favorite being the Trelawny yam festival. I’m still trying to make roasted yam like I did at the festival last year. There are no words to describe this exquisite taste of food grown and prepared in Jamaica by Jamaicans who know how to cook.

see the whole island

While most of the beaches and attractions are along the north and south coast, there are a few attractions outside of Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, and Negril. For example, there is the Bob Marley museum in Kingstown. As you plan your vacation, take a look at mobaymsb.com to find great properties to make your home away from home. At mobaymsb.com you may even discover that you are buying a piece of paradise for your retirement.
