Why humans are creatures of habit

Changing the mind of humans is like trying to turn a ship around when the rudder is stuck. Best efforts fail because the steering points in a different direction than intended by the captain. Whether we realize it or not, there is a power beyond our control that plays the same role. While our brain and logic want us to go in one direction, something tends to stop us in our tracks, unless it’s the way we’re meant to travel.

Although the planet we depend on for life is in danger, there is nothing we can do to stop it. Globally, people are driven by a super force that defies reason when it comes to destroying it.

Plastic is flooding our oceans and killing the life within, yet people can’t stop buying products encased in it. Climate change is devastating communities, and yet we do nothing to stop deforestation, stop burning fossil fuels, or change our habits in any way. We are totally determined on our course towards extinction.

It is doubtful that most will ever question why this is so. Why are beautiful animals being killed as their habitats are removed so that humans can farm and expand in numbers at an unsustainable level?

Do those responsible care that what they are doing leads to our own demise? The short answer is no because they, like those before them, only see money as worthwhile.

Wealth creation surpasses the senses. The greed to have more rules about those who take from the environment to improve their own situations. Why might logic tell them to stop their direction finder? They can’t stop because there are so many other things at stake.

Societies are not oriented to common sense but to the will of the leaders. While they may play the role of captain of the ship of life, there is a much greater power directing it. To know that force, we only need to look at the prophecies left to us as a warning thousands of years ago.

With a strong memory of reincarnation, my knowledge is that the true force behind it all is the Great Spirit of the Universe. He put up the barriers to prevent the majority from knowing. A huge wall of confusion and mistaken religious beliefs and their application have ensured that they remain.

Only those who are connected to Spirit and have knowledge to the contrary cannot be removed. Meanwhile, we continue on the path of destruction as laid out from the beginning. That is the rudder that steers us and our path to that day is obvious as we rapidly approach our end.
