Who will be the NBA MVP?

The National Basketball Association is full of big stars. We are in an era that is filled with athletes blessed with talent and rare abilities. With such talent, it can be difficult to determine who will be this year’s MVP. Here are some candidates to consider.

Lebron James. Probably the clear favorite to win the prize. It’s been a long time since an NBA player has released the statistics that Lebron James has been consistently doing year after year. He is one of the league’s most complete players of all time. He plays at a high level, whether it’s offensive or defensive, and he can create plays and get them to the basket better than anyone in the league. He is truly a one of a kind player of his and he will again feature monster stats.

Derrick Rose. It was a bummer that Derrick Rose was injured during the playoffs, because he is a special talent who will be one of the biggest stars in the league for a long time to come. His speed is unmatched and he has turned the Chicago Bulls into legitimate contenders. We’ll see how Rose recovers from his knee injury, but I expect him to be near the top of the MVP table by the end of the season.

Kevin Durant. Durant is another young star who seems to be on a mission to take over the NBA. One of the reasons I hope Durant has a monster year is because of his hunger for defeat in the NBA Finals. After facing the tough loss to the Miami Heat, I can’t expect anything less than spectacular from Durant. And I’m talking about something even more amazing than his overall performance last year, which was elite. Durant is a young, talented and HUNGRY player who will fight for his team to win a championship.

With all the star power in the NBA these days, who knows which player will emerge as the league’s most valuable player. I still wouldn’t rule out Kobe Bryant. With his elite work ethic and his game intelligence, he can find a way to separate opposing teams, especially with his star-studded team now. Maybe Steve Nash will create a dynamic offense in Los Angeles. How about Tony Parker or Tim Duncan? We must wait and see!
