Where is the word of a king, there is power

Ecclesiastes 8: 4 says, “Where the word of a King is, there is power.” We have a King and His name is Jesus. The question is, where is His word in our life? Is it on a shelf collecting dust or is it in our hearts and coming out of our mouths? If His word is on a shelf gathering dust, then His power is not working for us.

For the word of the King to operate by the power it has in it, then it must be in our hearts and come out of our mouths. We must believe that the word is true regardless of what we see or feel. We must remember that we have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness and placed in the kingdom of the precious Son of God, Jesus, the Son of His love, where all things work together for our good.

God has exalted His word above His own name, and watches over it to fulfill it. Therefore, when he hears His word coming out of our mouth, he is obligated to keep it. As for us, we must hold on to what we say until the results are seen.

As born-again believers, we are in Christ; the King and as He is, so are we in the world. Many Christians believe they are in Christ, but they are not getting good results in their lives. The most likely reason is; they expect the Lord to do everything for them. They are not praying His word, which is a grave mistake, they are not using the authority they have in the name of Jesus, and they are not pleading for the Blood of Jesus. Blood is vital to obtaining answers to prayers. It is a vital weapon in God’s arsenal that he has given us to use to resist the devil.

It is okay to speak our words to the Lord, but what we say must be in line with what He has said in His word, then the power of the King’s word will manifest in our life. Jesus said in Mark 11: 23-24: “For truly I say to you that whoever says to this mountain:” Move over and cast yourself into the sea “and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that the things he says done, will have everything whatever I say. Therefore, I tell you that whatever you ask, when you pray, believe that you will receive it and you will have it. ” So we can see in the scriptures what we have to say. We have been given the authority in the name of Jesus to decree a thing, and it will be done. It is not God’s will that we cry out to Him and beg Him for anything, but unfortunately, this is what many of us are doing. Begging God is a sign of a weak Christian, and this is not His will for us. He wants us to be strong and secure in him. In order for us to be strong in Him, we need to be filled with His word.

There is power in the King’s word to produce, but it requires that we believe and speak correctly. God will not alter His word to accommodate our lack of knowledge; He can’t do that no matter how much we beg of him.

We have an adversary who steals. He will take God’s answer to our prayers and place it in his kingdom of darkness, but we have the King’s word regarding that; Jesus said in Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you authority to trample serpents and scorpions, and over all the enemy’s strength, and nothing will harm you.” We can use this authority to order the devil to restore, and when the Blood of Jesus is applied against him, he will flee. It cannot be in the presence of the Blood, nor can it penetrate or cross it. He hates the Blood because there is life in it; the life of God.

There is an absolute supreme power in the King’s word that no enemy can resist, and His word will not return to Him void.
