Gerd is a condition that I started fighting against when I was a little older. When I enjoyed even a single day without finding that perpetual stinging sensation in my upper body and severe swelling upon waking up in the morning, I thought of myself as very lucky. After several weeks, I started to feel very bad. My first symptoms of nausea started to appear frequently, in addition to the frequent migraines. I found that I was more fatigued during the day than I normally am.

Shortly after discovering through ongoing research that PPIs were indeed causing my abrupt migraines and prolonged signs of illness, I informed my healthcare provider that I really did not want to continue taking medication treatment. Shortly after I asked him if there were other remedies available, he simply suggested that he consider another type of medicine. I really didn’t want to keep using medication anymore, so once again I did my homework and found some recommendations that allowed me to help cure my signs and symptoms.

Although I am aware that I will likely have acid reflux disease for my entire life, at least now I have discovered easy methods to make sure it remains manageable, without the need for high-risk prescription drugs.
