The Wii Fit Balance Board is an intelligent device that is pressure sensitive and detects changes in balance in any direction. You put it in front of your TV, step on it and use it to interact with the various activities. The best thing about this is that it’s cordless, so there’s no chance of tripping over a cord and hurting yourself. On this subject, I would say that you should probably make sure to leave some space around it, as I’m sure until you get the hang of it, it’s going to get weirdly unbalanced and you don’t want to fall headfirst onto the glass coffee table. !!

Nintendo has said that it has at least ten games in development that support the board and not just fitness games. Fighting and sports games can also take advantage of the unique balance-based interface.

Use the Wii Balance Board for Wii Fit Daily Tests – The tests offered by Wii Fit assess two key measures that everyone can track via progress charts:

Body Mass Index (BMI): An assessment of weight based on a relationship between weight and height.
Wii Fit Age: Wii Fit Age is measured by factoring in the user’s BMI reading, testing the Wii Fit user’s center of gravity, and performing quick balance tests.

Wii Fit is designed to appeal to everyone in a family and the workout is divided into four fitness categories:

Aerobic Exercise: Wii Fit’s 10-minute exercises are designed to get your heart pumping.

Muscular Conditioning: Wii Fit features controlled movements using arms, legs, and other body parts.

Yoga Poses – Classic Wii Fit poses focus on balance and stretching.

Balance Games: Wii Fit features fun activities, such as heading soccer balls and ski jumping, that challenge the Wii Fit player’s overall body balance.

The Wii Balance Board has a weight limit of 300lbs, so if you want to use it and you’re already over that weight, you’ll need to start losing weight now! Once you hit the weight limit and start using the wii fit board, I’m sure you’ll lose weight and be as fit as a butcher!
