Network Marketing Business Mission Statement: What’s Yours?

Well, now that you have a firm vision with your new business venture and a solid following from your most important supporter, it’s time to make a roadmap of where you want to go.

I am a firm believer in a Business Plan. Without a “road map” of who, what and how you are going to get to where you want to get lost will be inevitable.

Well known fact: Plan your work and then work your plan. I couldn’t tell you where I learned it, Zig Ziegler or Tony Robbins, but it’s critical to business success.

First, in network marketing you must have a mission statement. Even if you don’t post it, you should state in the written word what your business is all about and what you want to achieve. You must convey the purpose of your company. With this in place, you’ll always remember your address.

Key elements of a good marketing mission statement:

Please note that this is not an easy task; it will take some time to develop. It is a very important core concept of your company and needs to be given due attention. The following items are only a guide; the true mission of your company can only come from your heart. Don’t copy another network marketer’s mission statement, it may sound good, but it’s not theirs. Keep it short; just a couple of paragraphs should be enough for you to express your passion. If it’s longer, it will sound more like a business plan than an “element” of the plan.

•What is the product or service you will provide and why will it exist? If you keep this specific to the type of service you’re going to provide and the quality of the products you offer and not a specific product name, then you can offer many products or change products without having to rewrite your mission each time.

•Who will benefit from your services or products and how. What impact do you want to have on your customers, suppliers and employees?

•What is the vision of your company? When customers, suppliers and employees join you, what will they expect and what can be expected of them.

My belief is that you should be able to create a quality mission statement out of these core elements. Of course there are many other items you can consider such as; How is your product better than others? What makes your service the best? What do you do well? What would you like to see done better? What actions would you like to be recognized for?

I think these items are more for the stage where you’ve reached a level where you can make bold statements. I think you would agree that honesty and integrity should be conveyed at all times and if you are a beginner or beginner making statements that you cannot deliver will only hurt your early growth.

As an example: I’m not sure, but I think Google’s mission statement from day one may not have included “organizing the world’s information” when they probably didn’t know all along that it would go beyond one country’s borders. . But when they had that “ah-ah” moment and that vision became possible, I bet they expanded on their statement.

As a Network Marketer, now that you’re on your way with your Mission Statement, the next step is to develop your Sales and Marketing Plan or Marketing Techniques.
