MLM Offline Marketing Tips For Beginners

Hands down, the main goal of your networking company is to get you to the annual training event. It’s the most important meeting of your team.

Have you ever heard the marketing leaders on your team use the phrase “Ready, shoot, aim!” Of course, the real expression is “ready, aim, shoot”. The point is to get you to take action. No matter how the phrase changes, the first word should always be “ready.” Every year, your priority should be to attend your annual network marketing event. That is the core of your success. But if you’re not ready, how will you “ever” go? Preparation is something that is done in advance.

Since you know that your event will take place at least once a year, you can prepare well in advance. Many corporate events occur each year around the same time. Most likely they will sponsor the event at the same venues. Therefore, you should have an idea of the cost of getting there, hotels and the cost of attending the event. This is how you invest in your own company.

Let’s talk about the cost. I know you joined an MLM to earn extra money right? But by now you may have shelled out a few bills and probably still haven’t seen a dollar returned to you. So now you have to put down another wad of cash.

At the beginning of our networking careers, we’ve all asked ourselves the question “where in the world am I going to get the money to go to this event and why?”. Indeed, the typical response from your coach is “If you can afford it, then you really need to be there.”

You’re sitting torn between your wallet and your company. One thought is that investing in your business is essential. But on the other hand, you may be unemployed, your spouse may be carrying the load right now, you may be working part-time, and the cost is about a month’s pay. In any case, spending money on a big event seems like a lot to ask. Now what? Are you going to watch other people take chances while you sit at home and play it safe?

That’s how I take this and tell you, I’ve been there. First, I would recommend that you plan ahead of time to save a little each month just for big events like this. You know the event is coming up! It’s not a surprise. So if you set aside about $50 a month for business events, in a year you’ll have $600.

I once bought a one-way ticket to a big event and slept on the floor of my team leader’s hotel room. Back home, my family rushed to get me a ticket out of there. If they hadn’t been creative, I would have become a reluctant resident of that city. But on my return from that empowerment event, I caught fire!

That event experience created focus, momentum, and results that could never have been measured or predicted. The sacrifices each of us on the team made to attend that event brought unexpected success for us individually and as a team.

It took about 3 months for that investment to pay off. He won the award for best producer and best recruiter and was in the top twenty-five of the entire company. The team leader who sacrificed her hotel room floor for about eight of us won a beautiful Mercedes C-Class in a corporate team production contest. When we were all crammed into that hotel room, you could never have told us the amazing things that awaited us. So hopefully knowing that can give you an incentive to get ready and go to your next big networking event. Positive results cannot be calculated.

Homework:
1. Save early to cover event expenses
2. Design your team’s marketing strategy around the event
3. Teach your team how to do the same. (If they are a team of one, make one up until ready)

Unfortunately, then you can enjoy the fruit of your labor. Your business will change forever.
