Lake View Resort – Lake Naivasha County Club – Kenya’s Most Luxurious Luxury Holidays Lake Front Resort

Lake Naivasha Country Club

This beautiful old hotel was Kenya’s international air terminal just after World War II. British Foreign Airways flying boats landed there as they followed the Nile south and into South Africa. Today, only Lake Naivasha is visible through the tall acacia trees at the water’s edge. The hotel occupies an elegant old house with hardwood floors, cool doors, and a long covered terrace that leads to the lawn. Various wings and clusters of rooms and cottages are situated on 30 acres of cool lawns, shaded by fever trees and accented by colorful gardens. Rustic wooden chairs and benches invite the traveler to relax and listen to the birds and watch the water graze, perfect for watching birds, aquatic life or sunsets. The hotel is a popular overnight transit point and is often busy with international tour groups. Provides an easy weekend from Nairobi. It is also a convenient base for exploring the many attractions in the Naivasha area.

The public rooms are elegant and relaxed. The comfortable residents’ lounge has a magnificent fireplace and large windows. The bar area invites with its Lake Naivasha mural and colorfully painted walls with floral stencils. Located at one end of the comfortable terrace, the dining room is light and bright, with a panoramic view of the gardens. On holidays and weekends, buffet lunches are served on the lawn. Day visitors must pay a hefty club membership fee to enter the grounds. The Lake Naivasha Club is the most convenient place on the lake to explore Crescent Island. There is a jetty and several boats. You can be transported to the island where you can wander freely among wildlife, or you can take longer trips to the lake to enjoy bird life and spot hippos.
