Nominated for 17 Emmy Awards in its short four-year tenure, In Living Color is widely considered the best comedy show since SNL. Created by multi-talented star Keenen Ivory Wayans (the eldest son of a large and talented family), the 30-minute TV show became an instant hit for FOX’s big up-and-coming competitor in the spring of 1990. Paired with smart, cutting-edge writing, In Living Color featured a plethora of talented cast members who would go on to hugely successful careers in Hollywood. The show’s dance troupe, The Fly Girls, hired an ambitious dancer named Jennifer Lopez for the show’s final season, and season 2 of the show involved the casting of Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx (from Collateral and Ray ).
