How to make your own low-fat vanilla ice cream

Sometimes when you’ve embarked on the weight loss journey, you may miss your old friends: snacking.

But life doesn’t have to be miserable for you to lose weight. You can add flavor and color to your life by learning some smart eating recipes, like this delicious and easy to make low-fat vanilla ice cream.

This recipe is ideal for diabetics, since it contains no sugar and provides only 3 grams of fat and only 60 kilocalories (250 kilojoules).

If you’re on a Weight Watchers plan, that’s 1 point per serving!

This is one of those recipes where the ingredient list is longer than the actual preparation instructions. That easy!

Actually, people shouldn’t have to eat like hermits (with food that tastes like cardboard!). You can make your own delicious meals and snacks, and this low-fat dessert recipe is proof!

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons of gelatin dissolved in 2 tablespoons of hot water

300 ml cold evaporated low-fat milk

1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

sugar-free sweetener (equivalent to 4 tablespoons of sugar)

This is what you do:

Whisk all ingredients together and pour into freezer trays until hardened. It will take a couple of hours, but the wait will be worth it!

Tips: You can eat the ice cream plain or add your favorite fruit or fruit salad. You can also freeze it in ice cube trays and have small balls of ice cream as snacks.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
