How to kill cockroaches

Natural parasites and predators are also effective in getting rid of roaches. Examples of these are wasps and the house centipede. These feed on both eggs and adult roaches, but most people find this treatment objectionable.

A simple and homemade way to kill cockroaches is a pitcher of water. Just fill a jar halfway with water and some sort of bait, coffee grounds are a good option, and place them next to walls or baseboards. The roaches will crawl and will not be able to escape.

Get a professional grade pesticide or liquid concentrate. Liquid concentrates are used by spraying, rubbing or mopping on almost any surface. They are effective for up to 1-2 weeks and work well as a method of prevention. Professional grade pesticides are readily available on the Internet. They are usually sprayed around your home and in foundations. They kill adult cockroaches and eggs and leave a residue that can be effective for up to 3 months. Any chemical treatment can be harmful to humans, especially children and pets, so be sure to follow all instructions carefully.
