Have an ant problem? No problem!

We are often faced with the problem of tiny worker insects invading our homes. After they invade our homes, we fight to get rid of them. Fortunately, there is always an easy way to do anything.

Home remedies sometimes work better. Ants are repelled by most acids and spices.

Try spraying vinegar on the cracks in your rooms where you know ants are prone to go. They cannot stand the strong, acrid smell of this acid. Also be careful of the different materials you spray a vinegar mixture on. May stain or bleach certain surfaces.

Lemon works in a similar way to vinegar. All you need to do is apply a lemon mixture to the thresholds or openings where you know ants can enter. You can also leave the lemon peel in cupboards and corners.

Most spices repel ants that invade your home. Spices like cinnamon and bell peppers can work well. The scents left behind are too strong and pungent for the ants who will try to avoid the area entirely. All you need to do is sprinkle the ground spices in the drawers or in the crevice by the steps and in the corners before your doors.

Spices aren’t the only dirt repellent you can use. Coffee is also a relatively acidic home remedy that can be sprinkled in your garden. This is also a useful solution to keep stray cats and rats away.

Cucumber peels or scents drive ants crazy. Avoid this water-based vegetable whenever possible. You can leave the husk near doors and windows where ants enter, or you can have essential oils applied to your home.

There are also some alkaline substances that you can use. Ants don’t like chalk, believe it or not. They also don’t like plain baking powder and soapy products.

It is also important to remember to keep your home clean, especially around the sink. There could be some food scraps on the plate you placed in the sink, as well as a small body of water that ants can get to. You can add a couple of drops of peppermint to the sink to keep ants at bay.

If all else fails, use bug spray as a quick fix. Make sure to spray directly where the ants have made their nests and near the doors of your house. Insect repellent is easy to find at any cash wholesale store and for sale.
