Go Diego Go – Games and toys for Christmas

If you’re wondering what to buy your preschooler for Christmas, you might want to take a look at some of the great “Dora the Explorer” and “Go, Diego, Go” toys and games for sale. Chances are, if you’re shopping for something this Christmas for a preschooler, you’re excited about Diego or Dora and would love to play with something that revolves around these themes.

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the wide variety of “Dora the Explorer” and “Go Diego, go!” DVDs that are for sale. New, most of these retail for under $ 20 and typically include four episodes or a double feature plus another two episodes of Diego or Dora TV shows. They really are a hit, and knowing how much preschoolers love replay, they really can’t get enough of watching these shows over and over again.

Or, if you are looking for something different, you can check out Fisher Price themed toys such as “Go Diego Go Dinosaur Rescue Mountain” or the “Talking Rescue Center”. There are a lot of really good Fisher Price themed toys to choose from and in my experience kids as young as four or five will play with them for hours, especially if they are playing with someone else. While they are a bit more expensive than other toys, they really do offer good value for money and the fact that they are well made and therefore durable means that they can be put away and even passed on to other children.

A cheaper game that some children enjoy, which could also be considered somewhat educational, is the Go game, Diego Go 123. This particular board game can be played by up to four players at the same time, which increases the enjoyment. You receive ten different boards where the animals are represented according to their particular characteristics. Then the children take an animal out of a bag and match it with one of the animals on their card or with one of the other cards. The winner is the child whose card is filled first. Most three and four year olds are happy to play the game, but for older children it is usually a bit boring for them. Good for teaching animal basics and counting numbers.
