Gays and lesbians try to distance themselves from Catholic priests

A new term “phenophilia” is being thrown around, no one can spell it and I can’t even be sure if this is the correct spelling. Even fewer know what it means; it is the abuse of adolescents, which is different from pedophilia, which is the abuse and fondling of children. Homosexuals are saying that phenophilia is not homosexuality and they don’t want to be confused with what Catholic priests have been doing with teenagers for the last 2000 years.

Many are labeling Catholic priests as homosexuals and there are many today in the church who are actually ‘closet homosexuals’ and some who have ‘come out’. However, the big problems with American citizens are the abuse and sexual abuse of children and adolescents. This form of sexual deviance has ruffled some feathers in the gay and lesbian community in that they are disgusted with the idea of sexual abuse and pedophilia. The gay and lesbian community is attracted to these things. Many critics continue to label priests who abuse children as homosexual and say things like; “It’s all Greek to me” or “what’s the difference”. Gays and lesbians are up in arms and wish to distance themselves from the riot of Catholic priests and quickly side with mainstream America in a common cause against such ongoing acts of the Catholic Church.

Gay and lesbian groups in America may have to distance themselves from the church altogether to stay out of the crossfire. Many homosexuals tried to challenge the church on this issue and there is even a Gay and Lesbian Church in San Francisco, which unfortunately for the gay and lesbian community makes it easy to label Catholic priests as homosexuals who abuse young children. The Gay and Lesbian Associations are quick to point out that Catholic priests are not homosexuals since they abuse both boys and girls, as well as the children and grandchildren of their family.

About 2% of the American population is gay or lesbian and they have a following of about 8% and growing. This trend has reached the ever ‘so elusive’ dropout rate and will become socially acceptable in the United States in about two decades; just like in Rome at the height of its civilization, before the fall. Many homosexual men aspire to be Priests and many Priests in the Catholic Church are homosexual. We may even have a gay pope one day and some say this newly appointed pope leans that way? Many classify all Catholic priests as homosexuals who abuse young children.

It will be an uphill battle for gay and lesbian groups to reshape American opinion on this issue, but now they are out in full force on the speaking circuits warning of the Catholic priest’s behavior and attempting to distance themselves from the Church. Many Jewish gays and homosexuals are quite dismayed that the Catholic Church has appointed a Pope, Benedict XVI, who served in the Hitler Youth, calling him the “NAZI Pope”. Will the gay and lesbian community be able to stand together and distance themselves from the Catholic Church, or will they split on the issue?
