CV Review Time: Is Your CV Too Inaccurate?

If you have an imprecise and unspecific CV, then it might be time for a quick CV review as they are quickly becoming the nightmare of employers ‘and recruiters’ work life.

Typically these CVs can be viewed from a mile away; All the correct skills and achievements are included, but none of them really go into the details. The CV contains few examples and there is a general sense of emptiness throughout the document. It is as if the CV is full of words, but nothing is actually said.

It is not the best way to impress a potential new employer.

A vague resume tells an employer that the applicant has poor communication skills, has something to hide, or is simply vague. Perhaps all of the above.

Do your own CV review and be honest

Obviously, most job seekers don’t lie about their work history or are too lazy to write a more detailed CV, they just can’t remember what the details are anymore. If you just can’t remember all the different roles you’ve filled and the skills you’ve honed, then it’s really understandable.

After having a job for several years, if you are suddenly looking for a new position and it’s time to update that old CV, it can be difficult. If you haven’t updated it for a while, it may be difficult for you to remember all your accomplishments and accomplishments. You know you were very busy in your previous roles and you know you were doing a great job, you just can’t remember the exactly details.

And as any recruiter will tell you, it’s the details that matter.

So rewrite your CV without giving it more details and it reads like a vague list of imaginary skills. It shows no personality, no uniqueness and Not detail.

So what can you do with a vague resume?

Well, particularly in today’s job market, a small proportion of smart people stay one step ahead at all times by updating their CV every few months or so. They are conducting their own CV review. Just thirty minutes is all it takes to review your recent projects, challenges, and accomplishments and review and update your CVs accordingly.

There’s no excuse – take the time to do this and stick with it. You’ll feel much more confident in your skills and accomplishments, plus future employers won’t be put off by a bland, vague, and boring resume.
