Tonsillitis Treatments – How To Cure Tonsillitis

tonsils? What’s that?

If you’re like most people, you’ve probably never heard of tonsils. Tonsillith or “tonsil stones”, are collections of various materials united in the tonsils. This matter is primarily made up of food particles, dead skin cells, and oral bacteria that can form hardened white balls and cause bad breath.

You may have tonsillitis and not even realize it. If you have chronic bad breath or a sore throat and feel like something is stuck in the back of your throat, then there is a chance that you have this condition. Tonsil stones form in the crevices of the tonsils and can harden and grow as they mature. They can become visible and can grow to the size of marbles.

Unfortunately, there is no certain potion or pill to treat tonsillitis. Many people look to antibiotics like penicillin to treat tonsil stones, misdiagnosing them as tonsillitis. Although antibiotics can relieve some of the outward symptoms, such as difficulty swallowing and a chronic sore throat, they don’t actually treat tonsillitis.

There are various ways to treat tonsil and get rid of those smelly white balls on tonsils. If the tonsils have not hardened and matured, you can simply gargle the bacteria with salt water.

If you can reach the tonsil stone with your toothbrush, try to scrape it off. You can also try pressing a cotton swab on the tonsils, which sometimes causes the tonsils to pop out of place.

If the tonsil has become too hard, you may need to see a doctor, who may decide to remove the tonsils entirely. This is called a tonsillectomy. Yet another option is laser tonsillectomy, which uses a carbon dioxide laser to literally “broadcast” the cracks in flat tonsils. Without cracks in the tonsils, food particles and debris have nowhere to stick and therefore your tonsils will disappear.

In most cases, the tonsils will eventually pass on their own. However, they can be extremely irritating, painful, and embarrassing as the smell is anything but pleasant. Be sure to practice extra good oral care with brushing, flossing, and rinsing as part of your daily routine.

You can also chew herbs like cinnamon, thyme, and peppermint throughout the day to make sure those pesky tonsil stones are under control no matter where you go.
