When Keanu Reeves took a role as the Demon slayer in the Keanu Reeves movie “The Road” it became instantly famous. The reason this role was so widely accepted by both audiences and critics alike was simply because of Reeves’ charismatic portrayal of the character. His appeal as the Demon is one of the reasons why this film was so successful. In fact, many people who saw this film would go to theaters just to see the follow up movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still” starring Keanu Reeves and Bill Murray. While both films were great it is rare that audiences go to theaters just to see sequels of successful films.
The success of the original ” Demon slayer” also led to other movies following suit. Most notably was the remake of the film which starred Keanu Reeves again as the Demon slayer. The movie “The Devil’s Advocate” was the second film in a series of movies featuring the Demon slayer. The film was a commercial hit and went on to become one of the best horror films ever made. The success of the film franchise lead to the release of a third film “The Dark Half”.
Now there are a lot of things that separate The Demon slayer from other horror films. One of these things is the unusual mask worn by the character. Tanjiro wears a bandanna style mask which is different from the ones usually seen in Japanese movies. The Demon slayer also has two handguns, which gives him a much more realistic look as he fights with demons. These two additions to his costume give him an almost “Wolverine” like appearance.

One other thing that makes The Demon slayer a very unique movie to watch is its use of musical elements. The movie opens with a classical Japanese song, and closes with another ballad that plays throughout the movie. These two songs provide the perfect backdrop for this extremely intense Japanese film. Tanjiro’s intense fighting also translates to loud and intense music, almost like a metal band playing in the background.
Demon slayer also stars Russell Crowe as the main protagonist, and Yuusuke Tozawa as the villain. It is clear that Demon slayer director Toho wanted this film to be as intense as the previous two films in the series. This is why Tozawa almost steals the spotlight as the most well known actor from the film.
Ultimately, The Demon slayer is a fun film. Some people will be disappointed with it, but for those who love the Japanese horror genre then this is a must see. If you like Demon’s, then you’ll love this one. If you don’t like it, then at least make sure you check out the sequel to Demon’s. It’s got some great acting and animation.
