Sex aboard an American warship: act of indiscipline

Sex and adultery aboard the guest American warship Action News has gone so far as to say that a sexual affair on an American warship has had to be punished. The warship, a guided missile cruiser, had seen action in the Mediterranean Sea and was also operating against ISIS in the Middle East. The ship’s captain received an anonymous complaint; that 2 chief petty officers were engaging in adulterous sexual intercourse with a junior petty officer.

It was also alleged that 4 other NCOs were aware of things. An investigation was ordered and the facts came to light. The investigation revealed that two chief petty officers were having a sexual relationship with a young woman on board the ship. She was a junior noncommissioned officer.

The investigation also noted that 4 senior NCOs were aware of this relationship. Unfortunately, they did not report it to their superior officer. This is a crime under section 92 of the Unified Military Code. Section 92 clearly states that failure to report fraternization between the sexes aboard a warship or establishment is a crime. Two NCOs were given an administrative penalty for having inappropriate sexual relations with a young NCO. Four NCOs were sanctioned for not reporting the incident despite having knowledge of it.

There was a time when there were no active women in the Navy; But now almost 25% of the naval force is made up of women and many of them serve on warships and submarines. This puts them in contact with the sailors they serve.

Incidents of this kind are inevitable. The navy is already dealing with the scandal of nude photos of female colleagues. The nude photos circulated on Facebook on a secret page with a keyword. The magnitude of the problem had shocked the Naval Command.

Almost 30,000 Marines and Marine Corps veterans were members of this page. There was another case of a pilot who was taking pictures and videos of enlisted women in the locker room and bathrooms. The pilot was charged with various crimes under the unified military code, as well as civil laws. The naval spokesman has made it clear that the Navy cannot tolerate fraternization aboard warships. You are right, since such a relationship distracts from the main duty. But it should be noted that such incidents can never be completely avoided. They will keep happening over and over again; for the simple reason that men and women are attracted to each other.
